MANNTIS Prepare For Massive U.S. Tour; New Video Posted Online

May 17, 2006

Southern California quintet MANNTIS are currently preparing for a massive U.S. tour as direct support to DOPE that kicks off on June 14 and runs through August 7. The trek also features BLEED THE SKY (whom MANNTIS will swap the direct support slot with every other night) and A NEW REVOLUTION. The group have just completed a flurry of spring touring activity, which had them playing shows with everyone from the legendary MOTÖRHEAD to SOULFLY, among a slew of others. MANNTIS also completed a new video for the track "Weathered Soul" with up-and-coming director Robert Hall (JOSH TODD, feature film "Lightning Bug"). The clip is now in heavy rotation on MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball", and you can also click here to check it out.

MANNTIS vocalist Jake Sirokman commented: "We're currently in the U.K., kicking ass on the European version of Sounds of the Underground, but can't wait to get back to the U.S. with DOPE, BLEED THE SKY and A NEW REVOLUTION. Our sound is stronger than ever with the addition of our new drummer Andre. We also have a new video on 'Headbanger's Ball' for the track 'Weathered Soul', which was directed by Robert Hall. That guy is extremely creative and talented and put together an amazing video that fits well with the song. We tried to do something a little more old school this time, which was really cool because it reminds us of the metal videos we watched when we were growing up. We couldn't be happier with the way it turned out."

The group's critically acclaimed new album, "Sleep In Your Grave", produced by Cameron Webb (DANZIG, MOTÖRHEAD, SOCIAL DISTORTION),is now available on Century Media Records.
